Food grade noise reducing lubricating grease for ice makers

As summer approaches, ice makers and smoothie machines have become "must-have appliances" in the food and beverage industry. However, did you know that improper lubrication of these devices can not only cause soaring noise and frequent oil leaks but also directly affect their service life? Today, Baoxing will guide you to identify key lubrication points and provide Baoxing's food-grade lubrication solutions~

I. Ice Makers vs. Smoothie Machines: Different Working Principles

● Working Principle of Ice Makers:

The compressor cools the refrigerant, causing cooling water to condense into ice on the evaporator. The de-icing device (such as heating wires or rotating blades) then pushes the ice into the ice storage bin.

Key Lubrication Points:

De-icing motor gearbox (prone to wear due to frequent forward and reverse rotations);   - Ice mold rotating shaft (rotating friction part requiring low-noise lubrication);   - Water pump bearings (requiring water resistance and rust prevention due to long-term water contact).

● Working Principle of Smoothie Machines:

The motor drives sharp blades to rotate at high speed, crushing ice and ingredients into fine smoothies, with speeds exceeding 20,000 revolutions per minute.

Key Lubrication Points:

Reduction gearbox (subject to high torque and prone to heat generation and oil leakage);   - Blade shaft seals (preventing ingredients from seeping into bearings);

Motor bushings (critical for friction reduction during high-speed rotation).

II. "Minefield" Scenarios in Reduction Gearboxes: How to Solve Oil Leaks, Noise, and High Current?

1.Oil Leaks:   - Ordinary greases have poor oil resistance and are diluted by high-temperature oil in the gearbox, leading to seepage.   - Lubricating greases with insufficient adhesion fail to firmly coat gear surfaces.

2. Noise:   - Large gear clearances combined with insufficient lubrication cause metal impact noises during high-speed operation.   - Dry grinding from oil-starved bearings produces sharp abnormal sounds.

3.Current Surges:   Increased frictional resistance overloads the motor, potentially increasing energy consumption by up to 30%!

 To address these lubrication challenges for customers, Baoxing engineers recommend the BX-434 Series Food-Grade Lubricating & Noise-Reducing Grease.

Certified by NSF H1 for food contact, this grease is safe for catering equipment. Its special thickener ensures the grease "sticks" to gears, preventing flow at high temperatures and dripping at low speeds—completely solving oil leakage issues.

With solid lubricating particles that fill gear clearances, it effectively reduces noise and performs reliably in all environments, from cold storage to high-temperature kitchens.
