There are many factors that affect the quality of lubricating oil blending. The blending efficiency of blending equipment and the quality of blending components directly affect the quality of lubricating oil after blending. Here we mainly analyze the influence of lubricating oil process and operation factors on the quality of lubricating oil after blending.

1. Precise measurement of components

Accurate measurement is the guarantee of the correct proportion of each component when feeding. Accurate measurement of component flow rate is very important for continuous blending. Inaccurate flow measurement will result in imbalance of the component ratio, which will affect the quality of the blended product.

2. Water content in components

The water content in the components will directly affect the turbidity of the blended product and the appearance of the lubricating oil, and sometimes cause the hydrolysis of certain additives, which reduces the effectiveness of the additives. Therefore, the components should be prevented from being mixed with water.

3. Air in the component

It is inevitable that air is mixed in the component and system, and it is very harmful to the blending. The presence of air may not only promote the reaction of the additives and the deterioration of the oil, but also the inaccurate metering of the components due to the presence of bubbles, which will affect the correct ratio of the components.

4. The temperature of the blending components

It is necessary to choose a suitable blending temperature. Too high temperature may cause oxidation or thermal deterioration of lubricating oil and additives, and low temperature will make the fluidity of the components worse and affect the effect. Generally, 55-65°C is appropriate.

5. Dilution of additives

Some additives are very viscous and must be melted and diluted before use to prepare a proper concentration of additive mother liquor, otherwise it may affect the uniformity of blending and the accuracy of measurement. However, the additive mother liquor should not add too much diluent. So as not to affect the product quality of lubricants.

6. Cleanliness of the blending system

The solid impurities in the blending system, the base oil and additives of non-blending components, etc., all pollute the system and may cause the quality of the blended product to be unqualified. Therefore, the lubricating oil blending system should be kept clean. From an economic point of view, the possibility of only adjusting one product in a system is extremely small. Therefore, the pollution of the system by non-harmonized components is unavoidable. In actual production, on the one hand, clean up pollutants as much as possible, on the other hand, arrange Oils of similar quality and variety are blended in a system to ensure the quality of blended products.

7. Mixing time

The mixing time should be reasonably determined according to the size of the mixing kettle, the amount of mixing materials, the heating temperature, the mixing method, etc. The mixing time is too short and the mixing is not uniform enough; the halving time is too long and the energy consumption is large.
