How to maintain and use heat transfer oil

As a heat transfer medium, heat transfer oil has the advantages of uniform heating, precise temperature control, high temperature generation under low steam pressure, good heat transfer effect, energy saving, convenient transportation and operation, etc., and is widely used in various occasions .

So in use, have you encountered the following problems?

1. The wall in the fuel tank is full of grease

2. There are a lot of carbon deposits on the inner wall of the pipeline

To avoid the above problems

How should we maintain and use heat transfer oil?

1. Avoid excessive oxidation of heat transfer oil

Since the heat transfer oil is prone to oxidation reaction under high temperature operation in the heat carrier, which will cause the deterioration and deterioration of the heat transfer oil, the high temperature expansion tank is filled with nitrogen to ensure the closure of the heat transfer oil system and avoid contact with air, which can extend the heat transfer oil Service life.

2. Avoid the coking of heat transfer oil

When the operating temperature of the heat-conducting oil exceeds the operating temperature, coking will quickly appear on the heat-conducting pipe wall, and the thickening of the coking layer will cause the temperature of the oil-guide pipe wall to rise, forming a vicious circle, and explosion accidents may occur at any time. Therefore, strictly control the temperature of the heat transfer oil at the outlet of the heat carrier not to exceed the operating temperature.

3. Regularly check leaks

Strengthen on-site monitoring to ensure that the heat carrier system is intact and leak-free, regularly check the corrosion and leakage of the equipment, and timely repair if any leakage is found.

4. Prevent water and other impurities from being mixed into the heat transfer oil

As the heat transfer oil is heated, the dissolved water vaporizes rapidly, and the pressure in the heat transfer oil system rises sharply, which can cause the system to explode when the pressure cannot be controlled. Therefore, the heat transfer oil should be slowly heated before being put into use to remove water and other light component impurities in the heat transfer oil.

5. Regular sampling and systematic monitoring

Regularly sample the heat transfer oil that the system is running, analyze and test the appearance, kinematic viscosity, flash point, carbon residue, acid value, moisture, 5% low boiling point distillation temperature and other indicators, and grasp the change of heat transfer oil quality and analyze Reason for change.

Tips:

If one of the following indicators exceeds the control range, it is recommended to find the cause immediately and replace with new oil, but specific cases should be analyzed in detail.

Acid value>1mg KOH/g

Charcoal residue>1.5%

Flash point change value>20% (compared with new oil at the beginning of use)

Viscosity change value>15% (compared with new oil at the beginning of use)
